Make my iPhone stop opening iPhoto!

One of the most annoying things about my iPhone was that every time I connected it, it decided to open iPhoto just because there were a few photos I took with it. Don’t get me wrong, it was nice to import those into iPhoto occasionally, but not EVERY FREAKING TIME.

The solution my friends lies not in iPhoto, or iTunes however, but in a bugger little app that I had never used before, (scanner connected to windows box) “Image Capture” in your “Applications” folder.

With your iPhone connected, fire this program up. Once opened you should see your phone in the list on the left, go ahead and click on it. Once clicked on, the menu at the bottom of the screen should be active. From that drop down menu is the culprit. Select “No Application” and no longer will you be bothered by the annoying iPhoto popup. Hopefully that will keep a few more Apple users sane!
